The challenge was to build a brand in parallel of event planning, with the goal of having the event at the beginning of 2024. Effectively developing and designing the brand was the key step needed in order for the external agency to begin building out the event space and start registering engineers’ booths.

Early explorations were inspired various ideas such as retro-future, pop pixels, modern and more.

Final brand

Eng Fair landed as a success with over 27 engineering teams participating, 3000+ attendees, and 20+ company leaders and executives present. Engineers and beyond were excited about such an event and made connections with each other, which may have not been possible otherwise. As a result, Eng Fair will continue as an evergreen event that will go on tour globally to celebrate engineers in regions around the world.

Early explorations

We all finalized the retro-future inspired designed and this immediately informed the approach to the event space to have ‘80s theming to the experience.

Designed all the collateral and worked with engineers on their materials to make each booth feel unique. Provided art direction to the agency partner building out the event space with booth rooms, environmental staging, and more.
